In particular it hangs on an error box that says "vsfilter : wrong file version". The problem is that when I create the file association for MPC to open ".pvr" files it doesn't behave the same way as it does when I rename them to the ".ts" extension. I would like to be able to skip the renaming step and play them directly with their existing ".pvr" file extension. Success, MPC plays them reasonably well (seeking can sometimes be a bit dicky, but basically it's all ok). Initially I just guessed that they would probably be transport stream files so put a ".ts" on the end. The files it creates have the file extension ".pvr" which by default is not associated with any software player on my PC.
